North Bay Mortgage Chosen 2005 "Business of the Year"

North Bay Mortgage was honored as the 2005 Business of the Year at the North Mason Chamber of Commerce Installation Gala held January 21, 2006 at the Alderbrook Resort in Union. We are very proud to receive this award.

North Bay Mortgage was nominated by Aida Shenkl of Key Bank in Belfair. Below are some of Aida's remarks that were shared at the event:

Mike Boyle and his staff at North Bay Mortgage are true examples of leadership through community involvement. This involvement creates opportunity, which in turn creates success for the North Bay Mortgage company, its employees and ultimately, our community.

North Bay Mortgage participates in many local activities through membership in area service clubs including the North Mason Rotary Club, North Mason Chamber and the Boys and Girls Club. For several years, Mike Boyle has served as chairman for the annual Belfair Easter Egg Hunt and his famous annual Great PEN Contest has put Belfair on the map!

The philosophy of North Bay Mortgage is to be an active participant in the communities where they do business and to give back by volunteering.

Mike Boyle and the employees of North Bay Mortgage have generously demonstrated how a small business can contribute to the success of a community by investing their time and resources in our local youth, local community and events and service organizations.

For example:

Mike Boyle has served as Past President of the North Mason Chamber; is the incoming Rotary President; President of Victor Community Club; Board Member of WorkSource; Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club.

Kris Boyle (Mike's wife) serves on the Boys and Girls Club Auction Committee and North Mason Grad Night Committee.

North Bay Mortgage employee Angela Tallman volunteers at the schools, and is a past board member for the North Mason Little League.

Bek Ashby chairs the South Kitsap Relay for Life; is president of the Key Peninsula Business Association; is an active board member for the Key Peninsula Community Fair; and is also a member of the Port Orchard Planning Commission.

Mike Boyle has said that he "truly believes in service to my community. I have applied this philosophy to my business, in addition to actively volunteering both in the past and the present."
